Miss Rodeo Mississippi Association Announces New Title Holders

The Miss Rodeo Mississippi Association is proud to announce the winners of the 34th Annual Miss Rodeo Mississippi Pageant, and the 3rd annual Miss Rodeo Mississippi Teen, Miss Rodeo Mississippi Princess, and Miss Rodeo Mississippi Sweetheart pageant. The pageant was held July 20-21, 2007, at the Neshoba County Coliseum, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, with the winners being featured at the Neshoba County Fair
PRCA Rodeo on Saturday evening.

Laura Leigh Dorman, of Vicksburg, was selected to promote the sport of Rodeo and the State of Mississippi in 2008. She will represent Mississippi at all Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) events statewide and abroad, for a period of one year, beginning January, 2008, as well as compete for the title of
Miss Rodeo America, in Las Vegas, Nevada, December, 2008. Laura Leigh, who won the appearance and horsemanship portions of the pageant, is a student at East Mississippi Community College.
1st Alternate and personality honors were presented to Mississippi State student Suzanne Sorey, of Lake; and 2nd Alternate, Most Photogenic, and Miss Congeniality was won by Pearl River Community College student, Courtney
Dossett, of Collins.

Brooke Jenson Roberson, of Little Rock, was selected Miss Rodeo Mississippi Teen for 2008. Brooke won all three divisions of the Teen pageant (Horsemanship, Personality, and Appearance), and was awarded
most photogenic. She will be featured at events such as the Dixie National Live-stock Show, Rodeo, and Pageant in Jackson, as well as rodeos in Lauderdale, Starkville, Tupelo, Corinth, Philadelphia, and Hattiesburg.Brooke is a student at Union High School, where she is a cheerleader, a member of the tennis team, a member of the fellowship of Christian Athletes, received academic achievements, and has been a High School beauty for the past two years.

Mississippi also crowned their 3rd Miss Rodeo Mississippi Princess, and that honor was received by
Elizabeth Wooten, of Vicksburg. Elizabeth, who is the younger sister to the 2008 Miss Rodeo Mississippi, Laura Leigh, won the appearance and personality divisions, as well as most photogenic and Miss Congeniality. Elizabeth will accompany her sister and Brooke in 2008 as they promote rodeo, Mississippi, and the western way of life.
1st Alternate and Horsemanship winner in the Princess division (7-12) was Vanessa Ratliff of Edwards. Vanessa also received the National Directors award. 

Four young Mississippi cowgirls were named Miss Rodeo Mississippi Sweethearts for 2008 and they are: Belle Bricker of Lena; Savannah Gray Davis of Meridian; Macy Ruth of Pontotoc; and Brianna Kuiper of Madison.
